IMT contributes to new standard for Non-Invasive Ventilators
After the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, physicians quickly realized that moderately ill patients simply needed respiratory support through non-invasive high-flow oxygen therapy.
To improve patient safety and help healthcare professionals properly use non-invasive devices, a new standard for this type of device was quickly developed. Beat Keller, Head of Regulatory Affairs at IMT, worked intensively on the standards committee. In record time, this resulted in the ISO/DIS 80601-2-90 standard. The standard supports manufacturers in the development and production of these devices, and healthcare professionals have the assurance that they are using the devices correctly. Learn more here:
